Now is the time to move forward. In my last blog I discussed administration. Such a boring topic, I know. But the Lord spoke to me in September of 2009 and told me to look at Hebrews 11:33. After a whole chapter of listing people who have done the impossible by tapping into the Kingdom, the writer simply says that he does not have the time to keep listing names and their stories. However, he does give us a hint. They all did it with this process: through faith they subdued kingdoms, administered righteousness and obtained the promises.

 I was in Alabama and my good friend Pastor Ron and I were talking about 2010. He told me that he believed the Lord told him 2010 would be a year of acceleration. I did not think too much about it when he said it. But the next morning, the power of the Holy Spirit came upon me in my hotel room, and the Lord began to speak to me about 2010. He in fact told me that 2010 would be a year of acceleration and a year of breakthrough. He used the same word: “acceleration”. The Holy Spirit then told me that acceleration and breakthrough would be determined by the preparation that needed to be done during the last few weeks of 2009. I asked Him what He meant, and He took me to Hebrews 11:33.

 

I regularly receive email messages from people who use the phrase, “Why did God allow this trouble?”

One day, a friend of ours stopped by the house after her husband was killed suddenly. His death had left her alone, caring for her children, without any income. While visiting us, our friend kept repeating that her husband’s death must have been God’s will -- since He allowed it. After a day of this, I could not tolerate it any longer and had to interrupt her.
 

It is hard to imagine that for thousands of years men saw the effect of electricity through lightning but never knew that they could harness electricity for their own use. Men could easily see that birds were heavier than air but were able to fly with ease. Yet for some reason, man never was able to see himself flying. I can understand this being the case for a few generations, but for thousands of years?

Maybe you have heard Christians comment about the economy, stating the latest problems and then saying, “Boy, I sure am glad that I’m not part of the world’s economy but God’s economy.” That statement is both true and false.

Most mornings, I grab my cup of coffee and scan the headlines of The Wall Street Journal to stay on top of the recent financial news. However, lately there’s been so much doom and gloom that I have to watch out. When the world is washed in fear, it’s easy to get caught up in the “earth curse system” way of thinking.

It’s 2009, a brand new chance, a fresh start. It’s amazing the difference this year could make in your life. But many people don’t believe that their life can truly change permanently for the better. Years ago, I didn’t either.
